Ad Astra Stables is nestled on the quiet, peaceful shores of Lake Nosbonsing in Corbeil, Ontario, Canada, and is operated by Larissa Brown.
Larissa is a Royal Canadian Air Force veteran with a deep passion for horses and nutrition. Following her medical release from service, she became a Holistic Nutritionist, an Equine Facilitator™, and an Equine Gestaltist™ to share the healing presence of horses with those navigating trauma, eating challenges, the transition to civilian life, and mental health challenges related to service to the community.
Larissa created Ad Astra Stables because she believes women who have served others deserve a space to come back into their bodies, ease chronic stress, discover who they are beyond service, and rebuild trust with themselves. Her work is grounded in compassion, embodiment, and empathy—guiding clients toward deeper self-awareness and, ultimately, self-compassion.
